Scientific poster titled: The implementation of Criteria and Indicators for Sustainable Forest Management in countries of former Yugoslavia
The poster was presented at the Second Management Committee and Working Groups Meeting as well as at the Conference, Third Core Group and Dissemination Meeting of the COST Action CAPABAL TN1401. The meeting was held in Vienna (University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences- BOKU) in the days 16-18 September 2015. The poster presented results of the Short Term Scientific Mission carried out in June 2015 at the Biotechnical Faculty of Ljubljana University.
Scientific poster titled: Integration of forest policy goals at European, national and sub-national levels. The case of fire prevention and biomass production.
The poster was presented at the Final Conference of COST Action FP1207- Orchestrating forest-related policy analysis in Europe (ORCHESTRA) which was held in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium on September 5-6, 2016. The poster presented results of the Short Term Scientific Mission carried out in March/April 2016 at the Forest Sciences Center of Catalonia. The extended abstract of the poster was included in the Proccedings of the conference.
Presentation at the Symposium on Learning and Innovation in Resilient Systems
The Symposium was organized on 23 and 24 March 2017 at the Open University, Heerlen (NL). The event was a large international conference that offers researchers an opportunity to share ideas and knowledge with a broad audience, and aims to provide stepping stones towards ‘more resilient systems'. Francesca Ferranti gave a presentation titled "The interplay of vertical, horizontal and temporal policy dynamics. New insights in the implementation of European Union policies".
Session chairing and presentation at the IUFRO (International union of Forest Research Organizations) 125th anniversary Congress
The congress was held on 18-22 Septemebr 2017 in Freiburg (DE). Francesca Ferranti chaired the sessions titled "Analyzing the context of energy wood production and use: policy and management approaches adopted by selected countries and perspectives of relevant stakeholders". The session was organized by Nature&Society in collaboration with the Forstliche Versuchs- und Forschungsanstalt Baden-Württemberg and the Forestry Faculty at Ljubljana University and it aimed at addressing the approach of different types of stakeholders towards the oppurtunities and trade-offs generated by the possibility to increase the production of energy from forest wood. Francesca gave also a presentation at the session, which was titled "Possibilities to increase energy wood production: a case study on forest policy-practice interface in selected European countries".
