Practice-based and interpretative theories
Nature&Society studies practical contexts which are characterized by the interaction of society with nature. Forest
management, nature conservation, climate change mitigation and adaptation, wildlife management, production and use of renewable energies and related policy making are just examples of such
contexts. The company´s research approach relies on interpretative and practice-based theories which consider values, worldviews, interpretations, interests and social practices of institutions
and individuals as key drivers of social, political, economic and partially also environmental processes. These elements are also influencing the relation between nature and society.
Creativity im data retrieval, extraction and analysis
Nature&Society analyzes data by blending quantitative and qualitative techniques like statistical analysis and linguistic and contextual text analysis. This is done thanks to the support of computer softwares like SPSS, Atlas.ti and MAXQA.
